How to Get Maps for Regions Outside of Germany?

Unfortunately, except the German ICAO charts, we do not offer further maps. In order to be able to sell scanned European maps, license agreements with all appropriate authorities would have been made. Therefore our offer is limited to the German ICAO charts. An appropriate contract with the DFS was made.
Nevertheless there are several possibilities of using other maps:

Scanning and calibrating your own maps by yourself
In "PreFlight", you can use the maps you need, if you buy a printed edition of the map desired and scan it by yourself. The functions necessary for that are available in "PreFlight". You'll find the appropriate description in "PreFlight's" documentation on pages 11 and 12. If you don't like to scan your maps by yourself, we can do that for you. There are two procedures available:

Send us your printed maps
Send us your printed maps, unfolded in a tube best. After scanning and calibrating, you get back a 25x35 cm envelope containing a CD and your folded maps. Costs: e.g. for Austria: 9 sections 5.00 EUR each + burning a CD 5.00 EUR = 50.00 EUR, plus forwarding expenses and bank charges, if necessary.

Send us photos of your maps
The idea to this proceeding is from "PreFlight" user Stefan Rieger: Send us colour negatives or slides (no paper copies) you made from your maps. If you use a low sensitive film (50 ASA) and a medium aperture setting, the quality is still sufficient to represent a complete German ICAO chart. For larger maps, several photos of map details are recommendable. After scanning and calibrating, you get back a 25x35 cm envelope containing a CD and your photos. Please note that the quality of the scanned photos does not reach the quality of the scanned original maps. See: Part of a slide of the German "Rostock" ICAO chart (62KB)
Costs: Each photo 5,00 Euro + burning a CD 5,00 Euro, plus forwarding expenses and bank charges, if necessary.
